This German-inspired event is where everyone is having the time of their lives enjoying the much-loved beer. The aim is to have some fun whilst drinking beer under the bright, shining moonlight and munching on some of those tasty German treats. It is likewise a celebration of German culture with the desire to introduce what merrymaking is all about. Oktoberfest is already very much part of Brisbane’s tradition. For this year, it is scheduled to happen during October 9 to 11 and October 16 to 18. That is two weekends of drinking sprees to partake in!

Showcased at Brisbane City Hall’s King George Square, this event is an exhibition that highlights the past and present of the Brisbane River. The Brisbane River, being one of the city’s defining symbols, is part of a glorious exhibition where history meets the arts. It also has a lot of stories to tell about Brisbane in general. Performance objects coming from no less than the talents of the Torres Strait can also be found here.
