Winter Wine Weekend

The extensive Winter Wine Weekend will kick off on the 10th of June, with the traditional Winter Wine festival. On a single day, under one roof, you have an excellent opportunity to taste more than 200 premium wines from as many as 50 wineries. This includes all sorts of varieties, be it the pinot, shiraz or seasonal grapes. The ticket will include all wine tastings on exhibition, along with Riedel wine glass and a couple of entry size dishes.

ACO Collective: Death and the Maiden

Death & The Maiden presented by the Australian Chamber Orchestra on the 14th of June will witness the deadly combination of ACO Collective and the Swedish violinist Malin Broman, creating a truly magical experience. The central theme of this event is crying, whether in grief or happiness. ACO collective will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, combining musicians of ACO and talented young Australian artists, creating an energetic orchestra performance.

The Australian Woodturning Exhibition

Bringing together an exceptional display of wood-framed artwork from across the country, this Australian Woodturning Exhibition will display some of the most amazing things that can be crafted with wood, turning it into an excellent piece of art. The three-day event from 16th to 18th of June will witness annual competition with categories including vessels, platters, identical pairs, wood art, pens, ornamental work and miniatures. Woodturners will be competing in different sections, right from the novice to the master turners. In addition to 300 items on display, there will be exhibits from major sponsors and live demonstrations by leading turners.

Truffle Melbourne Festival 2017

Welcome to a weekend of truffle festivities as the celebration unfolds from 17th to 18th of June at the Queen Victoria Market. The Truffle Melbourne Festival will feature live chef demonstrations by some of the finest truffle chefs in Melbourne, with reasonably-priced truffle tastes and artisanal produce to take away home. Flinders Quartet with Timo-Veikko Valve

Melbourne’s own string quartet, the Flinders Quartet will be making their debut appearance at the Hawthorn Arts Centre for an exclusive gig featuring Timo-Veiko Valve, a well renowned cellist. Certainly one of the most popular Australian composers, Peter Sculthorpe sees his works as one slowly emerging art, and the same can be said about Franz Schubert and Luigi Bochherinin. The concert will epitomise the standard of these three legends of the string quartet. Lake Mountain Sprint-X

Kicking off the cross-country skiing race calendar for the year, the Lake Mountain Sprint-X on the 24th of June will be a fun sprint ski loop with plenty of crashes, berms and jumps. The iconic setting of a village area in Lake Mountain Alpine resort, will encourage the spectators to get indulged in the action. 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow

Buckle up Kangaroos, as its time for some serious laughing gags with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow on the 27th of June.
