This solo exhibition of photopolymer printmaking on paper from 1st to 14th of July will bring together the concept of power and popularity viewed through the riddle of celebrity mug shot. The style of art works reflect the artistic philosophies and communication of the punk eras and pop art of the 60’s and 70’s, coupled with extracts of modern street art. The plates have been worked with spray stencils, collage applications adopting instant media of photocopies, colourful rollups and relief printing. There will be 20 framed and unframed works on display, along with reproductions on cards, books and aluminium.

The NAIDOC week recognises the achievements, history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. What initially started as a day of grief in 1940 has now turned into a week full of exciting events acknowledging the contribution of first peoples of Australia.
