Brisbane Dog Lovers Show

Known to be one of the most comprehensive festivals in the world, the award-winning Dog Lovers Show is coming to Brisbane on the 4th and 5th of November at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Midnight in Montparnasse

Be ready to experience a night of Frenchy chic cabaret on the 4th of November, as you join the singer-actor Melissa Western and her band, turning the studio 188 into a back alley salon with cheeky banter, passionate vocals and velvety jazz. It will be a classic cabaret night, paying tribute to legendary jazz stars, and also featuring the most iconic showgirl. Expect some great mix of English and French lyrics with some exceptional onstage sip of Frenchy vibes.

O’Reilly’s 40th Annual Bird Week

On the 11th of November, join bird lovers from across the globe in the longest running birding program in Australia, giving you an opportunity to get in touch with some well known photographers, authors and bird researchers, as you witness more than 200 bird species in the Lamington National Park. There will be guided bird tours and live presentations, with a chance to spot the rare Alberts Lyrebird, you won’t find anywhere else. CraftAlive Logan

The largest regional craft show in Australia is coming to Logan from 10th to 12th of November, featuring craft experts from all across the country. It will be packed with trends and latest craft supplies, along with live workshops and interaction with the exhibitors. It will be a weekend fully dedicated to craft including food, wine, jewellery, quilting, scrap booking, stamping, patchwork, needle work and paper craft. This November, the Brisbane Showgrounds will be hosting the Finder Keepers Market, known to be the biggest one in the city. Terror

In association with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Brisbane Festival will be presenting a thrilling courtroom drama, Terror, that has been a topic of debate across the globe. The shows will be featured from 19th to 23rd of November, based on a hijacked plane, heading towards a football stadium. A fighter pilot takes life of 164 people onboard by shooting the plane down, just to save 70,000 people in the stadium. Now that he is charged with murder, it’s in your hand to decide whether he is guilty or not. This theatrical phenomenon has been designed by Olivier Award-winner Anna Fleischle and artistic director Sean Holmes.

Würst

This is going to be an almost all-male striptease revue, with Jacqueline Furey combining some of her favourite things from 23rd to 25th of November. After a blockbuster debut season, she’s back with a whirlwind show of comedy, cabaret and burlesque, setting the stage on fire with a mouth watering variety. The event will feature an extensive line-up of talented artists and top class acts ranging from hysterical to sensual. This is a sort of striptease soiree for the thinking soul! It’s going to be a night out like no other!

The Nightingale

On the 26th of November, treat yourself to musical visions from twilight till the crack of dawn, as you take a glance into the world of genuine night singer, the Nightingale. From the overwhelming intelligence of Magic Flute by Mozart, the restless sleep in Vivaldi’s eerie La Notte and nightmares of ghosts. The event will also discover the glorious portrayal of the daylight in his Peer Gynt Suite and the award-winning Wild Swans. The energetic Alexandra Flood will be returning from successful Europe tour to join hands with the Southern Gross soloists for the concert, which also features the premiere of the bird-inspired Clarinet Concerto of the Australian music composer, Ross Edward.
